Knowing I wasn't going to live in Singapore forever, once I'd got Singapore's guide dog service up and running, my main focus became recruiting a local Singaporean to train as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor. With a local taking up the mantle, Singapore's guide dog service would be well placed to continue to thrive well beyond my time there.

One year after moving to Singapore, my efforts to develop and roll out the island's own guide dog service came to fruition with the successful training and qualification of Gary and his guide dog Jordie.
